Hello again! In just over a day we meet another stretch goal, and I really want to thank everybody again. It's just amazing how strong the community in Ova Magica is!!! 

The goal we just meet is the additional blob world. Because who could turn down more exploring in these strange weird worlds where you can find special items and discoveries!?

The additional blob world will be decided by the community, as it was all of you who helped to achieve this. We will run polls and surveys asking about the themes and designs you would like to see and then we will work to implement them!

 I also just wanted to say thank you for all the great ideas for blob games and toys you have posted. They are really great! I am always welcome to hear from you, so if you are still thinking of some, just write me!

New Stretch Goal: The Clover Town Museum!

Now the goal we aim to achieve is the Clover Town Museum goal! This will be a new location that you can unlock and visit that will not only catalogue your achievements and progress, but will open up new questlines and activities. It will really help to reflect on your time in Ova Magica! 

You will be able to donate to the museum various items and objects that you find from your adventures (or even grow!). For important items, you may even receive a lore writing that gives more background to the history of the town! Help fill it up with things from Clover Town, and enjoy the beauty in the gemstones and minerals collection, or take in the spirit of nature from the botanical garden with local flora. As you help develop the museum, you will unlock special rewards and new items.

We are already well on the way there and i can't wait for us to meet this goal together!!! Having somewhere like a big musuem that will help to catalogue all your discoveries the game and give you special items when you reach milestones will add a lot to the gameplay.

Game shoutout: Sunnyside

To finish with today I am shouting out Sunnyside Kickstarter campaign!

New pool area and swimsuit outfits unlocked! House expansion goal revealed!

Hi everybody! I hope you have a happy Sunday! I am really happy today because we meet another stretch goal because of all of you. Thank you so much!

Now, the new swimming pool location will be added to Clover Town. Open all year round, it will be a great place to visit and go on dates even in the wintery season Frigus! As well as the new special swimsuit outfits and character portraits, water themed blob trainers, and new events/dates you will experience when visiting the pool, from the pool you will also be able to buy a host of new items and toys for your blobs. Perhaps you'd like to take home a mini paddling pool for your blobs to make use of when it's summer? Please look forward to it!

Next stretch goal: House expansion and rebuilding!

Now it's time to reveal the next stretch goal and updated list, and this time it is thanks to a community suggestion! This is to expand your house and make it fancier! Not just in terms of crafting/buying new items, furniture or decoration. But now you will be able to remodel the house itself! Gather the materials to first upgrade your house size and ask Charoi to build it. Then, later on when you have more progress and materials again, you can then add a second floor with additional rooms to your farmhouse too! You will also be able to remodel to change the floors and walls of your house so you can create themed house designs too! This same mechanics may also apply to some other buildings in Clover Town you help build too, so there will be a lot added by this goal!

We think it will be really great to see see what kind of wallpaper and flooring designs you all want to include. Would you like this? If so, then share the project on social media with your suggestion and using #OvaMagica hashtag. The best suggestions we will include in-game!

 Community reward teaser: Blob Encyclopaedia!

You probably see that the next in-game content stretch goal is hidden but one special is revealed. This is the community reward! Ova Magica only gets this far thanks to the effort and dedication of all of you so it is an opportunity for us to express our thanks a bit more - when this is reached, all backers will receive an additional reward of the Blob Encyclopaedia! As we get closer, we will reveal more details about it. Please stay in touch with updates and help us by sharing the campaign with your friends and on social media♥!

Hello again! Just a day since our last update and wow, the goal for playing with blobs is already met! Thank you all again!!!

Now I introduce the next stretch goals, they are for additional blob world content - the Clover Town museum - and a brand new pool/spa area in the game with special swimsuit outfits and events!

For the additional blob world content, you have likely already seen from the description that over the course of the game you will go on expeditions to special worlds through magic portals! When this goal is met, a new world and more of this content will be added which means opening up more options in the questlines and giving you new environments and activities to do! Together, we'll design this blob world. You, the community, will help to design what theme it will have, and what special blobs and items you can find there through surveys and polls because this is thanks to the community. And remember that the blob worlds are also procedurally generated, so having a totally new world adds a lot of content because it means each time you get another set of different experiences. It is the perfect dream for every blob adventurer and explorer! 

Bachelor Introduction: Flint!

Now is one of the big moments you've all been waiting for! I will begin introducing more info about Clover Town's eligible bachelors and bachelorettes one by one! First of all is Flint!

Flint is Clover Town's hunky blob breeder. Athletic, strong, and confident, he knows all there is to taking care of blobs, and his body is well built from years of farming and stacking food and goodies up for the blobs under his care. He's always accompanied everywhere by his loyal Hedgehog blob! Always happy to lend a hand, he does have one very significant weakness... if he sees someone being mean and nasty to blobs, he gets VERY angry...!!! Will your romance together grow to be strong?

Game shoutout: Sword Of The Necromancer

I want to end this update by giving a shoutout to a great game made by some lovely people. It is Sword Of The Necromancer, and the release of it is today!

In Sword Of The Necromancer, you play as an ex-rogue adventurer called Tama who seeks to bring back the priestess, Koko, from the dead. A thrilling dungeon-crawler RPG with rogue-lite elements, you turn your foes into allies and reach the depths of the Necromancer's dungeon, to defeat the guardians and gain enough soul power to bring Koko back from the dead, no matter the cost. It looks like a lot of fun and you should click the link to try check out their game on Steam!

Hello everyone!

Thank you for funding Ova Magica in just 3 hours yesterday! I'm so amazed! I did not expect things to be so far, I didn't actually have the update post prepared already so please forgive me for posting a bit late! Not only that but you all also went past the first 2 stretch goals already which is incredible, thank you so much!

So here, I now want to talk to you about the marriage and customization goals and the next goal after that we are now working towards... I think you will like it!

The first goal, marriage, you are already familiar with because it was the first on the campaign! If you need a reminder, this is the description:

The first stretch goal for Ova Magica will be to expand the romance system, and add marriage! We hope you'll help us achieve this goal, and here's a brief overview of how it'll work!

A special event will be added in which you can propose to your chosen one. If you choose the right place, gemstone and the mood is romantic enough, hopefully your plan will succeed. On the day of your wedding (and anniversary!), the entire town is beautifully decorated. At the wedding ceremony your blobs will bring you the rings made of the gemstone you proposed with. All romanceable characters have an additional set of hand drawn 2d portraits in their wedding outfits! After you're married, your loved one moves in with their blobs, and can help you on the farm. Your blobs can then breed together too!

That's right! It's a dream to fully expand the romance system that now you can take your relationship to be forever by marrying your chosen one! And as the description suggests, this will also allow new events and mini questlines as you work towards making your proposal. A moment to remember forever!

Now for the second goal that was met... met so quickly there wasn't even time to write the description out! This is the customization goal... where now, you can have options to customize the player character in line with how you want it. You will have a selection of skin tones, and also different eye shapes and colors. Then you can have all kinds of hair styles and colors for your hair, too! Mix and match the attributes as you please. This way, you can shape who you play as to be somebody you really identify with. I hope you will enjoy it!

Now the big thing you are all waiting for... what is the next stretch goal??

The next stretch goal is... playing with your blobs! This will add blob games, items, and interactables that your blobs can play with and you can use to spend time with your blobs! For example, these will range from things like toy balls you can use to play games like fetch with your blobs. Or, to keep them busy when you're maybe pre-occupied on the farm (or an adventure), a hamster wheel or small swimming pool to keep them entertained! Of course, you don't have to be doing something else for them to use it... if you want, you can simply just spend the quality time with your blobs and appreciate their friendship and having fun together with games! There will also be new animations for when you interact with and pet your blobs which are guaranteed to melt your heart!

I am really hoping that we will meet this goal because if I am honest with you I really want to add this 🤣 With all your support, I think it is possible that we meet it and then move forward even stronger! Thank you everybody for all your belief in me!

Oh but before I go I will mention... tomorrow, you will meet the first eligible Bachelor! Who will he be? Please look forward to it!
